My journey to Green[One] began at a very early age growing up in Rural Ontario. More out of necessity than a moralistic or environmental concern, my parents were green before green was cool.
I believe it’s the small choices we make every day that make the biggest difference to our health, our families, and ultimately our planet. Choosing conscious products (organic, local, fair trade, live food) is a critical part of the path, although I think the most profound impact we can have on our environment is to start from within: live out our dreams and passions, BE our unique expression, and BE a positive force in the world.
Being an avid traveler, and having lived in numerous places in Canada and in the UK, I was inspired to design bags with a style and functionality that works no matter where in the world we are. There is a moderness and simplicity to European style that I love, along with the utilitarian considerations in design. I wanted to combine these elements to create bags that would express individual style and allow us to carry out our busy lives with ease and simplicity.
I think it’s very exciting that GreenOne bags were born out of a necessity for a stylish alternative to plastic bags, and have ended up being one of the coolest, most functional and accessible carry-all’s on the planet!
