[Giv a Shurt] - to bring forth, manifest
A division of GreenOne Ventures. Founded on the premise of celebrating artists from all walks of life, and creating entrepreneurialism as a means of building sustainable communities to help foster economic growth rather than provide charity.
GIVE A SHI®T’s vision is to transform impoverishment in communities around the world- beginning with Vancouver. Our mission is love life * be free.
im-pov-er-ished
• reduced to poverty;
• having few trees, flowers, birds, wild animals;
• deprived of strength, vitality, creativeness]
Supporting local, international and Downtown Eastside Vancouver artists, a portion of proceeds from t-shirt sales goes to the GIVE A SHI®T Social Venture Fund- promoting creative industry and creating employment.
Our philosophy is that impoverishment is a state of mind and can be transformed- no matter where you live or what you do.
EPIC RIDE. EPIC CAUSES....
As a way to honour my late father Larry Blyth, Simon's late father Brian Levin, and every other person who that has been touched by the big C in one way or another, we have come together to create the GIVE A SHI®T/RIDE TO CONQUER CANCER project.
A huge shout out to all of the athletes who, through their sweat, tears, (and blood in some cases!), gave it their all to ride to Seattle and impact the face of Cancer forever..... 1900 riders; $6.9M dollars raised for the BC Cancer Foundation. Wow.
Thanks also to everyone who donated to the Cancer Foundation, and to GIVE A SHI®T thus far. The ride may be over, but we have decided to keep the donations flowing, so you can donate to BC Cancer Foundation and GIVE A SHI®T all year round. Share it with your friends, work mates, family, strangers on the street, basically anyone who will listen..... ….2 causes. 1 donation. 1000's of lives changed.
Donate $100 or more (70% goes to the BC Cancer Foundation/ 30% to the GIVE A SHI®T Fund) and you will receive a limited-edition, original artwork, super-soft pima cotton t-shirt by renowned Vancouver artist Lauren Javor or our very own Downtown Eastside artist Ken Foster.
